Low-speed belt conveyers are machines designed mainly for transport of pressed sludge and of other material in water cleaning units. They can also be utilized for continuous or interrupted transport of various kind of material in agriculture, building industry and in other branches. Low-speed belt conveyers can be operated as independent machines or they can be arranged in lines.
The advantage of VX-PD conveyers is the formation of a thicker layer of pressed sludge on the belt, that prevents sludge freezing in winter conditions. Another advantage of the low-speed conveyers is their higher operating life (because of lower speed).
The low-speed conveyers are designed for the ambient temperature of
-25° C do +60° C, the temperature of transported material must not exceed +70° C.
The main part of the conveyer is the frame (position 1 in the conveyer picture) from square profile of stainless steel, in which all other conveyer components are placed. The frame is completed of several parts that are connected together with connecting screws.
The belt conveyer with the lenght of 2,5 m is produced as a compact unit with fixed frame.
The drive is solved through worm gear unit (2) with chain transmission that is tensioned via gear box shifting.
The rubber endless conveyer belt (3) is tensioned through tensionning screws (4) between the driving drum (5) and tensionning drum (6).
The regulation of belt motion is possible through tensionning screws (4) or through regulation screw (7) on the belt frame.
The accuracy of conveyer belt motion is also ensured through vertical pressure rolls placed on the conveyer frame (6).
The conveyer belt is along its length supported by a roll system (9) with friction bearings.
The transported material is from the rubber belt wiped away through adjustable scrapers (10).
Electric power is connected directly to the conveyer´s worm gear unit. In case of need the conveyer can be equipped with a box with switch, fuse and four-pole plug.
The conveyer hopper (11) serves for material routing on the rubber belt. It is made of polypropylene.
The connecting material is anticorrosive.
The conveyers are delivered assembled, without leading-in cable. In case of requirement the conveyers over 4 m can be delivered in parts.
The conveyer is to assemble through assembling the frame with attached screws and through slipping the rubber belt.
In case of the conveyer assembly and installation by the user the latter is obliged to assemble the conveyer (if necessary), to fix it safely on the place of work, to secure the conveyer mainly against side slipping and to ensure the assembly of leading-in cable in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
