TANKS AND OTHER PLASTIC FACILTIES

Description


Tanks and facilities are completed from elements that are produced as injection moulded elements from structurally expanded polypropylene with the possibility of filling with mica, calcium carbonate and talc.

This material has a high durability, wear resistance and ultra-violet radiation resistance. The chemical character of the material enables easy cleaning and has hygienic unobjectionable character.

The material possesses good thermal and insulating qualities.


Applications Area Results from Following Characteristics:

  • application range for temperatures from -5°C to +95°C, (without impact stress endures for a short time till +110°C),
  • yield point in tension minimum 17 MPa,
  • yield point in bending minimum 25 MPa,
  • elongation minimum 7%
  • modulus of elasticity in bending minimum 1000 MPa,
  • ultimate bending strength minimum 25 MPa,
  • impact strength Charpy (23°C) minimum 10 kJ.m-2,
  • thermal extensibility coefficient 2,1.10-4.grad-1,
  • melting point 165°C,
  • retention of shape (ISO R 75) maximum 120°C.


Presented values are short time values, stated in the course of measurements according to the valid norms. They should be taken for rigidity calculations as the maximum values.

This material is designed mainly for production of big chemically and corrosive stressed products.

The tanks from mentioned material are designed for storage of drinking or rain water, for sludge, liquid manure and silage medium accumulation,
for reservoirs of powdery and liquid chemicals, for emergency tanks, stream-gauging shafts, containers etc.
The tanks are produced from smooth plates or wall chanelled elements with fusion welding.

The tanks dimensions can be adapted according to customers´ requirements.

The thickness of the smooth plates is 5, 8, 10, 15 and 20 mm.
The wall chanelled element is 80 mm thick.

The tanks are produced as self-contained constructions. But the tanks with larger dimensions are recommended to be fixed around with soil eventually with concrete.
The elevated big-size tanks need stabilization construction.

The tanks can be delivered as open, closed tanks or tanks with removable covers, eventually with feeding shafts.

Dividing and submersible walls, inlet and outlet piping etc. can be installed in the tanks.


The tanks construction can be adapted for various purposes:

  • pumping tanks,
  • drain wells,
  • small water cleaning units,
  • neutralizing tanks,
  • dissolving and mixing tanks including mixers,
  • sedimentation tanks,
  • sand and grease catchers,
  • separators of earth oil substance,
  • baths of metal plating lines, etc.


Plastic elements can insulate leaky concrete tanks (for example for liquid manure).

Polypropylene tanks are also often used as lost boarding in building of concrete reservoirs which prevents the demanding work with inner boarding and with modifications securing the impermeability of walls.

This material does not require any surface treatment during its whole lifetime. In agriculture fodder channels, downcasts etc. can be produced.

Another possibility for exploatation in agriculture are floor grillages that are alternative for iron, concrete and ceramic floors. This floor grillages are used for rearing the cattles, calfs, ducks, chickens and pigs.

The floor grillages and plastic elements can also be utilized in other areas. Areas that require waterproof conditions, high lifetime and mechanical and chemical resistance.
